I
must say it’s probably one
of the best homeware purchases I have ever made recently. You see, my
five-year-old
son used to get watery eyes and stuffy nose quite a bit. I realized
that this
happens if I give vacuuming a miss – even for a day. I ended up
vacuuming the
house daily (which is not friendly to my back).
Why I Decided on the BlueAir 402 Air Purifier ?
Apart
from trying to relieve myself of the daily vacuuming, what I find
appealing is the use of advanced technology in this purifier. Let me
get a little technical.
The purifier uses SurroundAir
technology to rid rooms of harmful particles. With this, it draws in
polluted
air into its HEPA filter. As the filter is made of non-toxic
polypropolene, there is no chemical emissions, so I learnt. An
added advantage using this kind of filter is that the purifier does not
get
contaminated with bacteria, viruses or mold from the inside.
I
am also drawn to the
Blueair 402 Air Purifier because of its ability to suck in 99.97
percent of the
tiniest particles found. Particles like pollen, mold spores, dust mites
and pet
dander – yes, they would all be lured to the filter!
As
if that isn't enough, there is an electrostatic charge which ensures
that the purifier 'catches' what it is supposed to, making particles
'attached' to the filter for cleaning later.
I have found that the
purifier works well in rooms with odors too and learnt later that this
is due
to the smokestop feature.
Sleeping
Soundly Owing to Clean Air
I
believe that the Blueair 402 Air Purifier is also designed for one's
comfort. It is so quiet, it has never disturbed my sleep at all. I also
find that it is easy to operate as I put it to my desired settings and
go about
my daily routine. Initially I was concerned if the use of the purifier
was going to jack-up my electricity bill. However, I realized later
that as I set it to the lowest settings, it works out to be equivalent
to my desktop PC.
Due to my son’s
condition,
you would have guessed that I’m always for cleanliness. True. And I’m
one who
purchase things around the house which are easy to clean and maintain.
I was
amazed that replacing the filter once in six months was no hassle at
all, even
for me, who admittedly, am not very good with such things!
Although
I have mainly
praises for this purifier, its drawback is that it can clean only up to
365
square feet. But if you are like me, who ensures that clean air is top
priority
in the house, I would guess that you would buy more than one unit. To
me, the
health of my family, in the long term, is worth much more than the
price I paid
for the purifiers!
